Rough Water™ 9.11
The Rough Water™ 9.11 was designed out of a need from the Professional Marine community for a RIB that offered greater seaworthiness at speed in rough conditions as well as greater personnel carrying capacity. The Rough Water™ 9.11 is presently in service with the Canadian Fisheries Management Police (DFO), the Canadian Federal Police (RCMP), Sûreté du Québec (Quebec Provincial Police), the Rhode Island DEM Enforcement Division and the Canadian Coast Guard meeting and exceeding their expectations for mission requirements on a day to day and emergency level. The Rough Water™ 9.11 (like all of Rosborugh’s Professional Series Craft) is fully semi-custom to match the present and future needs of its operators.
Hull
The Rough Water™ hulls are a unique design incorporating a deep V (23 degrees) continuous dead rise hull form with full length planning strakes and curved bilge chine. The results of these unique hull design characteristics is a boat that opens the seas easier, softer with nil spray and bears up as to not stuff in calm or heavy seas. The narrow fore foot and the deep dead rise provide a hull that is softer riding, easier to push through the seas, more efficient with moderate power and substantially faster with large power.
The full length lift strakes provide unmatched stability at speed and exceptional turning ability without slide or skip-out when the collar bears into the water in a tight turn. This hull is exceptionally dry and sprays free and with its shape, configuration and layout will not kite its bow in head wind or pound in a moderate to severe chop. The Rough Water™ Rigid Hull Inflatable has been designed in the professional marine industry to provide greater stability at rest and under power.
Construction
Rough Water™ is a uniquely constructed craft incorporating many lamination and assembly techniques that set it apart and superior from other boats. The main construction consists of heavily laminated, one piece molded GRP components: Hull, Floor/Tube Carrier, Decks, Dash Bulkhead, Console, Superstructure, Roofs and Doors.
The Rough Water™ is constructed using the latest available technology to both materials and standards which ensure the utmost in durability and low maintenance. The extra steps and technology put into every unit by Rosborough Boats’ production team is an assurance of Quality.
Cabin/ Crew Ergonomics
Equipped for operating in daylight and darkness the Rough Water™ 9.11’s layout and configurations provide for 24 hour all year around use. The specialty composite nature of the main structure allows for operating in temperatures not usually operated in (but sometimes need to be) while providing maximum safety and comfort to crew.
Ergonomics are greatly considered in the layout of the wheelhouse and dash/control areas. The wheelhouse offered is large enough to accommodate four officers in seated or standing position with comfortable seating, safety hand grabs and non skid surface to all floors. The dash layout is such to provide ample room for placing electronics etc. as to not obstruct vision out the windows and be easily viewed and used without discomfort.
Power Configurations
The Rough Water™ 9.11 is configured for Twin outboards for up to 600 Horsepower but will operate efficiently with smaller power as well.
Diesel Stern Drive and Jet units are also available.
