The Rosborough touch unlike no other boats we purchased, this time EVERYONE from the owners to the salesmen to the production floor is there to help the customer. We felt great piece of mind as our boat progressed form the unhurried and insightful ordering process through waiting for the hull to be started and finally visiting our boat at the show, then delivery. At all times we knoew we could pick up the phone and discuss any aspect of our purchase and receive an honest, helpful response. The knowledge that every customer's experience is put back into the future boats was very comforting to us.

On this, our third cruise to the Bahamas in our rosborough 246, I just wanted to drop you a note to tell you how very delighted we are with the boat! After almost 2 years of very rough open-ocean cruising (some 2,500 miles) we couldn't be more pleased with any boat.

This boat exceeded our expectations in every way, providing a comfortable home on the water, dry and stable transportation in a wide variety of weather condictions, and the pleasure of possessing a "head turner" in every port.

We have owned larger boats, smaller boats, sail boats, power boats, inboard boats, outboard boats, diesel boats, and gasoline powered boats. Having said all this, the Rosborough 246 is the greatest example of the successful boating compromise. This is an extremely well thought out boat. As someone once said, "Don't buy the largest boat you can afford; buy the smallest boat on which you can still be comfortable". We are more than comfortable on our Rosborough. We love it.

Our boat (Kestrel) continues to amaze us. We find that for the two of us we have ample living and storage space for extended cruising. Kestrel is quite as comfortable as our 42-foot trawler was. The 140 hp Suzuki outboard has worked out well. We burn a little less than two gal/hr at a cruising speed of 12 knots when loaded with provisions and fuel for an extended run. When we drop to hull speed, she burns very little fuel. We appreciate her sea-keeping qualities; this summer we had a Lake Ontario experience involving 10-14 foot breaking waves. Lively, but her decks stayed dry even though we held our cruising speed.

We really appreciate the individual purchaser / owner treatment we received. I believe, in this day and age, being treated this way is very special. You should be very proud of your team and the product you are producing! Thanks again!

At any rate we are very happy with our Rosborough and spend many hours on it. I would certainly recommend this boat as a combination of trailerable and cruiseable. We also are particularly happy with the style of the boat and its practical low maintenance aspects.

When i finished reading your splendid article on the new 25 foot small cruiser - the C-Ranger, I sat back on my front porch and saw in my minds eye my ten year old boat. I remembered the day I bought her at the Annapolis Power Boat show ten years ago. Then, too, I was looking around for something small - about 25 feet, handsome and seakindly that I could enjoy in my old age (I am now 88!). When I saw a certain boat on a new trailer, ready to go I said to my son Stephen, now a successful business man, I said "I'm in love" - and I was. It was a 25 foot Rosborough, built in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
I shall not burden you here with the details of this outboard cruiser for I am sure you have seen many of them and have served with details of its construction. But, let me tell you that during these last ten years my family, and my dear old friends have traveled many rivers in Eastern United States. These trips include, but were not limited to 1. The Saint John River, 2. The Intra Coastal Waterway from Miami North to Georgetown, SC, 3. The Monongahela, The Allegheny, the Ohio to Cincinnati, 4. The Tenessee River from Knoxville to the Tombigbee Waterway, 5. The Hudson from New York City to Montreal, Canada etc...

The reason for this letter is to thank both of you for your kind assistance and help while we were in Florida. You certainly went out of your way to solve our problem, and we truly appreciate that treatment. It's too bad many other businesses, marine or otherwise, do not have that helpful attitude.
